I'm a 6-foot-tall designer with an undying love for coffee, books, & cheesy romance movies. Libraries and coffee shops are my happy place, and I am constantly on the lookout for new café or restaurant recommendations!
WHAT I LIKE TO DO
When I'm not clicking away on a keyboard, I enjoy riding my bike, reading historical fiction novels, and playing with my dog. I love picking up new hobbies, and I am currently learning how to make pottery. I have always been interested in psychology, and enjoy reading books and watching documentaries related to how people think and behave–plus it doesn't hurt to have a better understanding of how people work in my field of design!
MY COLLEGE EXPERIENCE
I study New Media Design at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. This field of study prepares me for a career in design by emphasizing the importance of process, research, and iteration. I have learned valuable lessons in conducting user research, documenting my process, and making multiple iterations for the sake of finding the most efficient and effective designs. My minors in psychology and mobile design and development have provided me with an awareness for how designs will be perceived, along with the communication skills necessary for handing a design off to developers.
